法鼓山 聖嚴法師

釋聖嚴法師，俗名張保康，江蘇南通人，知名佛教出家比丘，佛學弘法師兼教育家，為禪門曹洞宗的五十一代傳人，臨濟宗的五十七代傳人。 聖嚴法師於少年出家為沙彌。1949年，因戰亂還俗，加入中華民國陸軍，因佛法戒殺，擔任後勤的通信兵，隨軍抵臺。1960年以准尉軍階退伍，依止於東初禪師門下，再次剃髮出家，承繼臨濟宗與曹洞宗法脈

Master Shi Shengyan, commonly known as Zhang Baokang, a native of Nantong, Jiangsu, a well-known Buddhist monk, a Buddhist master and educator, is the 50th generation successor of the Caodong School of Chanmen and the 57th generation successor of the Linji School. Master Shengyan became a novice when he was a teenager. In 1949, due to the war, he returned to secular life and joined the Army of the Republic of China. In 1960, he was discharged from the army with the rank of warrant officer, and he was under the guidance of Zen master Dongchu.

慈濟 - 1966年於花蓮縣新城鄉創立，開山住持為釋證嚴（慈濟宗）。

佛光山 - 1967年於高雄市大樹區創立，開山住持為釋星雲。（臨濟宗）

靈鷲山 - 1984年於新北市貢寮區創立，開山住持為釋心道。(寧瑪派、臨濟宗)

法鼓山 - 1989年於新北市金山區創立，開山住持為釋聖嚴。（臨濟宗、曹洞宗）

中台山 - 2001年於南投縣埔里鎮創立，開山住持為釋惟覺。（臨濟宗）
