Happy Wedding to my friends Abbie and Joe Rogus! Love you guys!

Two friends of mine Abbie and Joe met on Project LET’S Go!’s (an educational non-profit) fellowship program in the summer of 2016 in Taiwan, which I participated in as well. According to them (plus everyone else) “ they were fire and ice”. I still have an impression that they literally hated each other at the very beginning, and the next thing I recalled is Joe sneaking out of the boy’s room for a secret late night date with Abbie, which happened to be witnessed by me lol (I basically went out to make sure he is still alive. I thought I lived in a dangerous country. Yeah that was me, a local.)

That overwhelming summer turned out to grow into a major part of my college life. I worked with the organization for a couple of years as an admin. Abbie and Joe went on their amazing journey — traveling around the world, taking amazing shots and videos, #onthegowithabbieandjoe. They returned to the program in 2017. After a year we had so much to catch up with. They looked perfect on social media, but nothing I knew was even close to what it is to be in a relationship.

Two years later after my solo trip in Manhattan, I transited in ShangHai on the way back with an overnight layover to visit the couple. They had been living there for quite a while. It was St. Patrick’s Day (which I didn’t know about). After hanging out with some of their friends we went to Joe’s. We shared an intimate and vulnerable time together, talking about life, family and relationship. I surely didn’t know much about life then. All I got to do was to express my care and support for them.

Days gone by. One day I opened my instagram and saw a pic of Abbie with a RING on her finger and I was like OMG!!!!! Yes, after a few years of living, working, traveling and loving together, they got married. So my original plan was to surprise them at their wedding in Costa Rica, but here came the Covid. The wedding got postponed until a year later. This time I did tell them I was gonna be there, and here came the Covid again and my flights got canceled. Thanks a lot bro 😉

On the exact same day I canceled my trip, I decided to create a song for the couple as a wedding gift, in addition to an auto water dispenser for pets. The idea was to get it done before the wedding so they get to play it at the wedding if they’d like to, but it simply took me way much more time than I expected. I am still kinda annoyed by a few flaws in it, but I feel it's pretty good already and I don't wanna hold it back any more. So this is it!

Two vibes are created --- Gotta Dance With Abbie & Gotta Dance With Joe. I figure it will be fun to have the husband and wife have their version of it. They will receive it once I figure out how to send the vibes as gift lol.

P.S. I have my gf as the Vocalist. I guess I know a little more about being in a relationship now. 😉
