華人民間社會普遍認為，龍不僅是祥瑞之物，更是和風化雨的主宰。從節氣上說，農曆二月初二前後為二十四節氣之一的驚蟄。在中國文化中，龍是吉祥的動物，支配著雲和降雨。民間傳說認為是龍甦醒也是龍抬頭的一天。當掌管雨的龍抬起頭的那天開始，雨量便逐漸增大，從另一個角度來看，這個節日也顯示了人們對於好天氣以及農作更好收成的盼望。
The Flower Festival , also known as the birthday of the flowers. Since the Tang Dynasty , Chinese people have used this day to mark the coming of spring. In this day, people usually hang red silk ribbons called “shanghong” on flowers and trees, catch a flower show and some acrobatic performances, savor a traditional steamed flower cake made with seasonal flowers and rice, or go out with friends and family to enjoy the spring scenery for celebrating.
