What do we see outside the window?
Is that a bullet coming through
A bullet coming through, or a peaceful afternoon?

What do we see on the soldiers’ faces?
Is that a glory of our race
A glory of our race, or a nameless lonely grave?

We're ruled by the fear
Not freed by the love
We're taught to take so much
Taught to stay not enough
Where has it gone, where has it gone
Where has it gone, has it gone?
Like we, like we forgot our lost

How do we look at the people around?
Do we see the beauty of their lives
The beauty of their lives, or the flaws of their act?

How do we connect with the people around?
Since when haven't we laid down our guard
Laid down our guard, so afraid to be who we are?
