Among the county's attractions are Taroko National Park's stunning gorges, Yushan National Park's grandeur, the East Coast National Scenic Area's stunning natural sceneries, and the East Rift Valley National Scenic Area's rustic charms. Qingshui Cliff, located on the Suao-Hualien Highway between Heping and Chongde stations, is one of Taiwan's most beautiful Pacific coast panoramas. The cliff rises almost 1,000 meters and drops almost vertically into the sea.

One of the most noticeable aspects of Shakadang trail is the multiple river crossings. While this may not appeal to people who do not want to get their feet wet, it offers limitless possibilities for those who do not mind rolling up their pants or getting into their swimming gear. The trek itself is not especially difficult, but it is best avoided during typhoon season, when flooding can make river crossings dangerous.☺️
