傳統節慶系列乃延續「2013臺北國際數位內容設計競賽」數位平面創作組金獎的系列作品，並於2016年彙整為《文質彬彬視覺設計展》在高雄116藝術中心展出。

農曆十月十五為下元節，下元節的來歷與道教有關，是「水官大帝」禹的生日，相傳當天疏河治水成功的大禹，會下凡人間為民解厄之日。在農曆中有三元(上、中、下元)，每一個元都代表著不同帝王的生日。其中，農曆的十月十五日是水官大帝—禹的生日，也象徵著灌溉和防洪以及祈求能消災解厄。
There are three Yuans within the Lunar calendar. Each Yuan represents the birthday of the three ancient emperors. Lunar calendar October 15 called Lower Yuan which is the birthday of Emperor Yu, who is known as the Emperor of the Water realm, represents irrigation and flood control.
