拉布拉多是短毛、外層直且緊密，內層毛皮則柔軟且防水禦寒，和水獺一樣腳趾間有蹼，因此水性良好。拉布拉多的標準顏色有三種：黑色、米黃色、巧克力色。是由兩組基因控制，一組控制毛色有黑黃兩種，另一組控制鼻頭的顏色有黑色跟粉紅色，巧克力色是黑色基因跟粉紅色鼻頭基因的組合，黃色系拉布拉多則有兩種鼻頭顏色的可能，而黑色就是全深色的組合。

The Labrador is short-haired, the outer layer is straight and tight, and the inner layer is soft and waterproof. Like the otter, there are webs between the toes, so the water is good. There are three standard Labrador colors: black, beige, and chocolate. It is controlled by two groups of genes, one group controls the coat color of black and yellow, the other group controls the color of the nose, black and pink, the chocolate color is the combination of the black gene and the pink nose gene, and the yellow Labrador is the color of the nose. There are two possible nose colors, and black is a combination of all dark colors.
