馬辰(Banjarmasin)是印尼南加里曼丹的首府，錯綜複雜的水道使得這城市有「千河之城」之稱。很多的房子蓋在河上，幾片木板搭建的小矮房，歪歪斜斜，看起來搖搖欲墜，當地人如何在非實心地板的房子裡日日安然自在，實在讓人難以體會。 
在城市西邊有一個水上市場，民眾都會划船到這個市場進行買賣。
每天戴著竹斗笠的婦女們划著小船，載著自產的農作物到這裡交易。色彩豔麗的船，滿載著香蕉、橘子等新鮮的瓜果蔬菜，成為河上一道亮麗的風景線，或許是全球最奇特的市場。
水上市場的主要顧客大部分也都是水上的遊客。小商販在小船上，日出而作，日落而息，形成一種非常獨特的生活現象。
等到黃昏時分，遊客和小商販可以自己划船回家，或者將小船用鏈子串聯在一起，前面用一艘大船牽引而形成一條長長的船隊。這是水上市場的獨特景象，實在讓人感到驚奇及難忘。

Painting theme: Indonesia Machen Floating Market
Banjarmasin is the capital of South Kalimantan, Indonesia. The intricate waterways make the city known as the "city of a thousand rivers". Many houses are built on the river, and the small houses made of wooden boards are crooked and crumbling. It is hard to understand how the locals can live comfortably in houses with non-solid floors. 
There is a floating market in the west of the city, and people will row boats to this market to buy and sell.
Every day, women wearing bamboo hats row boats and carry their own crops to trade here. The colorful boats, full of bananas, oranges and other fresh fruits and vegetables, have become a beautiful scenery on the river, and may be the most exotic market in the world.
Most of the main customers of the floating market are also tourists on the water. Small traders are on small boats, working at sunrise and resting at sunset, forming a very unique phenomenon of life. At dusk, tourists and small traders can row home by themselves, or chain the boats together and pull a large boat in front to form a long fleet. This is a unique sight of the floating market, which is truly amazing and unforgettable.
